Portfolio of Ten
I’ve got a folder of photos I call “Portfolio of Ten.”
It contains more than 10 photos regardless of the folder name.
The idea behind the folder is simple. If someone were to ask me, “What kind of photographs do you take?” I could show them my Portfolio of Ten and theoretically give them a good idea.
So the images don't necessarily represent what i consider my "greatest hits," simply images that give a good representation of the kind of work I do.
It sounded simple when I first thought of it.
But I’ve taken thousands of photos over the last 50 plus years — of all kinds of subjects — both analog and digital — so distilling that number down to 10 images is more daunting than I had originally anticipated.
At this moment, I’ve put 42 images into the folder.
Twenty-six have people in them, so you can assume I enjoy photographing people.
The images in "Portfolio of Ten" keep changing as my aesthetics and taste change but that keeps it interesting, at least for me.
Here are some of the current images.
