Abiquiu, New Mexico Livestock Sale
Andrew Thronas (above) prepares to close a gate after herding calves into a pen at the facility located on about 100 acres which the New Mexico lifestock Producers and Marketing Cooperative oversees.
The facility is located about five miles south of the main Ghost Ranch entrance and is the site of a cattle sales for ranchers in Northern New Mexico.
The sale was held by the Southern Colorado Livestock Auction, of Fowler, Colo. They were interested in buying cows, bulls, bred cows, pairs and calves.
I happened to be driving to Ghost Ranch when I noticed the sales activity and stopped to talk with some of the ranchers and take some photos.
