Isolated Tree Photographs
For as long as I have taken photographs, trees have often been subjects. One of the many cool things about trees is you can find them almost anywhere. And even the same species of trees often have an appearance that gives them “unique personalities.” Lately I've been working on a series I call "Isolated Trees." It's where I've used a selective focus technique to isolate the tree from the rest of the frame, creating what may or may not be termed a "portrait," depending upon your definition of the word. The idea of the isolating the tree is to bring its aforementioned “personality” to the viewer’s attention. Since I've just started working on these, there are relatively few on the website, but more will be added as they are created.
