Fisheye Lens Photos
A while back I picked up a Sunex fisheye lens on shopgoodwill dot com. Sunex is one of the largest makers of wide-angle lenses used in automotive rear-view cameras, including the very expensive ones that come in some of Germany's finest automobiles. Sunex also provides wide-angle lenses for security and medical applications. It’s a really expensive brand but it was a good deal so I figured that even though it wouldn't be used often, it might come in handy occasionally. It offers 185 degree circular images.
There are some photographers who use dwarfing software to make full frame images out of the circular ones but I prefer the circular images of this lens. I feel if one wants full frames images, them buy a full frame fisheye instead of a circular version.
I have to admit that for a long time I wasn’t a really big fan of fisheye images, but since purchasing this lens, every once in a while a scene is presented that lends itself to the circular format so I’m glad I carry it in my camera bag.
Here are some of fisheye pics I’ve taken so far.
