Infrared Images with a Leica M8 Digital Camera
Kickball game, Albuquerque, New Mexico
Although I prefer using infrared film (see my film infrared images here), I have started dabbling a bit into the digital infrared realm. Here are some examples of digital infrared images I’ve produced recently. I use a Leica M8 with an infrared filter attached to a Voigtlander 15mm lens. The images are then post-processed in Adobe Photoshop. I know there are a lot of photographers out there doing color infrared work, but I prefer black and white. I find the color garish and a bit too manipulated-looking, as if someone dialed up the saturation to its max in Photoshop. At the moment it's sort of hit and miss with more misses than hits.
