Vibrant Saturated Images

I feel that with the advent of Photoshop and other photo editing (manipulation) programs, people often over-edit their images. I try not to overdo my editing in my photos but occasionally, for sheer impact in a magazine or newspaper story, I'll make a photograph appear more like a graphic illustration than a photo, I'll go overboard and pump up saturation way past where it should be normally. I don't recommend this as a normal technique, but it can be used selectively to benefit a certain idea. Below are a few examples.
