Power Poles
One of the many photo editors I've done work for over the years hated when there were power poles or telephone poles included in a photo. It didnt' matter if they were an integral part of the composition or not, he hated them.
I've grown to love them, and tried to work with them in situations that were less than optimal in terms of the composition since the are ubiquitous and often unavoidable. But all in all the power poles or transmission lines and I have come to a truce of sorts and I have a few images where I find the poles or towers appealing.
Additionally I have included them in a number of my anti-landscape, landscape images, often contrasting the poles with the natural landscape. Man's hand on it, if you will.
