Luck in Photography vers 12
I was heading into Espanola (a town about 20 miles north of Santa Fe, NM) about a week ago and fog was hanging over the valley. When I arrived at the edge of town I could see these hills to the south of town peaking through the fog. I knew it wouldn't last long and from where I was on the highway there were poles and power lines in front of the scene. I did a quick u-turn and headed north until I could avoid the wires and poles, stopped and quickly took a few pics before the fog obscured the hills.
The fog obscured the hills about a minute after I took this shot, so if I had waited any longer to turn around and find a spot were telephone poles and power lines were not in the image, I would have missed this opportunity completely.
