Detroit Blues Festival circa 1976
I'm looking for some help here.
In July 1976, I took some photos at the Detroit Blues Festival, which was part of the Afro American Festival, held near the Detroit River. I was working for the Detroit Sun, a weekly newspaper owned by John Sinclair.
I recently started going over vintage negatives and decided to scan some from the Blues Fest. Over the years the identifications of the people shown have been lost, so I'm looking for some help in identifying the people shown.
Over the next few weeks I'll be adding more photos to this page so if you are interested in keeping up with the additions, you should check back every week or so for a while. I will indicate when I am finished scanning images from this time.
I'll be doing a number of scan sessions from the Festival and will be doing higher quality scans of these shown and additional scans that will be added to this page.
If you can identify any people in the photos, I'd really like to hear from you. If you are able to identify anyone, just do a screen shot of the image you are identifying and attach it to your email.
